The Basics

  • Monday and Wednesday nights at 9:00 PM EST
  • Open to all adults who seek a feminist approach to recovering from eating disorders and other attempts to control our lives by controlling our bodies: disordered eating behaviors, body hate, body image obsession, body dysmorphia, chronic dieting, compulsive exercise, and related challenges. People at all stages of recovery are welcome. If you think this group might be helpful for you in your recovery or healing journey and you want to join us – you are welcome!
  • Email manyroadsedrecovery@gmail.com or fill out form at https://manyroadsedrecovery.com/scheduling-and-contact/ to be added to our mailing list. Mailing list sent out every Monday and Wednesday before meetings and includes meeting reminders, preview of meeting materials, and any info on cancellations if necessary.
  • Borrows from the wisdom of Eating Disorders Anonymous and other 12-step programs while explicitly seeking liberation from patriarchal and other oppressive systems. We are LGBTQIA+ aligned and affirming. Health-at-Every-Size (HAES) informed and body neutral.
  • Drawing on the work of Charlotte Davis Kasl (Many Roads, One Journey; Moving Beyond the 12 Steps), participants are invited to write and work a program of their own meaningful steps, aligned with their values.
  • Meetings are free and offered in a virtual/online format.
  • Meetings are peer facilitated and structured for participant safety, keeping conversations focused on growth and positive change.
  • We aim for growth in recovery rather than rigid ideas of perfection or abstinence. Recovery means making choices that let you be present and authentic in your life.
